Designed for an older park at Franklin Square, Hobart, this is my first commercial piece of street furniture. School students waiting for buses as a main user of the parks perimeter. They like to sit on the backs of the seats, so this design accommodates that use.
Decorative webbing brings additional strength to the seat legs. Holes cast into the feet accommodate fixing. Even though this design is retro intentionally, the shape and detail consider structural integrity, the ways it will be used, and how it will be installed and maintained. A consistently popular design.
